Cyclone Amphan

Cyclone Amphan

You know in bengali "Aam" means Mango so till yesterday morning we friends were having a laugh on the word "Amphun" as we called it "AAM-FUN". Earlier i always use to get fascinated by the beauty of the storm (as it is clear to me now that what my experienced earlier was nothing), specially in my summer holidays i witnessed many storms in kolkata, we called it "KAALBAISAKHI". But nature has some other plan yesterday. I have never seen a storm in my life of this volume, as if it came to destroy us only. Mother nature wanted to uproot us all and start a new.

It all started with pleasing wind and some rain in the afternoon. Just  the way life takes shape very slowly and blooms in its own pace, Amphan took hours to come to its devastating point. Our house start shaking, i could hear the sound of trees around as if they are calling for help. Electricity got disconnected, rain water logging everywhere and entered my house as well. I was clueless at point as prepared myself for the worst. It was a movie ,as giants are roaring outside and blowing out every possible things coming in their way. I was sitting in the corner and was waiting for my turn.

God has been kind enough that today is a brighter day and the night has passed away. My first thought in the morning was "is everything okay around". I went outside to and couldn't believe my eyes. My city and the southern part of my state is bleeding, mother nature has taken revenge. Still i believe that  as mother scolds it child it natures as well. We will get over it soon.
